Steve is one of the most intense and creative powerhouses that I’ve ever encountered in my career. Over a five-year period, I had the privilege of working with him to build several first-of-its-kind community programs that have quantifiably changed gaming culture in North America.
In 2011, Steve launched the League of Legends college program drawing in hundreds of student-led clubs across the country and redefining a game studio’s relationship with one of its largest and most influential demos. In 2014, working on a mere seven-week timeline, we orchestrated the first national college championship taking collegiate esports to the proverbial next level. This paved the way for academic institutions in the United States and Canada to officially sanction and build varsity esport programs on campus.
Throughout all the long nights, crazy trips, white boarding sessions, and voracious debates, Steve has been an invaluable member of several of teams. I’ve seen him grow from a coordinator into to a program strategist who not only excels at esport and community design but has developed an impressive BD and creative acumen. Any organization would be fortunate to secure Steve’s services and talent.
